TeamTLC composed of GIL JAMISOLA JR., EZRA JOSEPH MENDOZA, CHRISTIAN OCLEANA (all BSIT 2 students) together with their coach MICHAEL ANGELO D. BROGADA,(Dean of the College of Computer Studies) brought home the bacon to The Lewis College when they won the GRAND PRIZE in the Ateneo Programming Challenge (APC) 2010 held at the Ateneo De Naga University, Naga City last March 1, 2010.
APC 2010 is where the best computer programmers of the whole Bicol region converge to compete. Famous universities and colleges like Bicol University, University of Nueva Caceres, AMA Legazpi, Divine Word College of Legazpi, and Partido State University participated in the event.
Out of 7 difficult problems in the competition, TeamTLC was able to solve 4 in just 90 minutes. "Problem G", which was considered to be the most difficult item, was solved in merely 41 minutes by TeamTLC. It was the only team in its category that was able to provide the brilliant solution to the tedious problem, even besting teams that had already competed in the national level. It was a remarkable performance indeed! To know more about said competition, check it out at http://ccs.adnu.edu.ph/apc/ . Congratulations and the TLC family is proud of you!
