6th Commencement Exercises with Carolyn E. Fugett, Keynote Speaker
One hundred eleven students from the elementary, secondary and tertiary levels graduated last April 3, 2009 at the 6th Commencement Exercises of The Lewis College.  Graduation ceremonies were held at the newly constructed TLC Covered Court.  This memorable event was attended by around two hundred parents and guests. To achieve success throughout their studies, they were helped by teachers and memo writing services who collected information, analyzed, created characteristics and samples.

With the theme, "TLC Graduates as Global Citizens", the special Keynote Speaker was no other than Mrs. Carolyn E. Fugett, who came all the way from Maryland, USA.  Now in her eighties,  Mrs. Fugett is the mother of the late Reginald F. Lewis.  Her rousing message encouraged the crowd that indeed the Filipino can be global citizens through hard work and perseverance.

After this, TLC president and founder, Madame Loida Nicolas-Lewis also gave an inspiring message about how her husband, Reginald Lewis, was greatly influenced by Mrs. Fugett. She also admonished the graduates to work hard and to trust in God in order to gain true success.

Other special guests were TLC Vice President Ms. Imelda Nicolas, DepEd Education Supervisor-1 Mr. Wilfredo Gavarra, and CHED Supervising Education Program Specialist Dr. Belen D. Azul.
