Atty. Loida Nicolas-Lewis, founder and president of The Lewis College (TLC) and Dir. Shinichiro Suetsugu, founder and director of Kokusai Kotoba Gakuin (KKG) in Shizuoka City, Japan signed a historic Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in a gesture of solidarity and friendship on December 19, 2011 in Rockwell Center, Makati. This event was witnessed by Dr. Rose Anonat - TLC Officer-in-Charge, Mutya Acebron - TLC Coordinator, Mr. and Mrs. Hideyo and Marietta Sato - TLC Nihonggo Instructors, and Ms. Sonomi Takatsuka - KKG Instructor.
This MOA between TLC and KKG will further strengthen the commitment to help students to learn Japanese language here and in Japan, and at the same time for foreign students to learn effective conversational English in TLC's English Program for Asians. Opportunity for TLC graduates to study and work in Shizuoka will also be opened. After the signing Mrs. Lewis commented, "May this be the start of a beautiful partnership between Kokusai Kotoba Gakuin and The Lewis College."
