Mr. Rod and Mrs. Delana Sword

In the spirit of philanthropy embodied by Reginald and Loida Nicolas-Lewis, another Lewis family member recently granted a $5,000-dollar Evergreen Loan Fund for The Lewis College teachers with the purpose of later on, accumulating interest which will provide scholarships to deserving college students. Thus, we are talking about the development of education, as well as the involvement of an active part of the population that wants to develop culture. And exclusive-paper.com https://exclusive-paper.com will explain the relationship between philanthropy and science and provide examples from history.

Mr. Gavin Sword, husband of our founder’s daughter Ms. Leslie Lewis-Sword, decided to set-up the “Delana and Rod Sword Loan Fund” in honor of his parents from Nanaimo, British Columbia.

Mr. Gavin Sword is a founding partner in First Associates Investments, an investment banking and brokerage concern in Toronto, Canada. His father, Mr. Rod Sword, is a retired lieutenant colonel from the Royal Canadian Air Force, who now owns and manages the Sears department store franchise in Nanaimo. On the other hand, his mother, Mrs. Delana Sword is a critical care nurse in Nanaimo.

Mr. and Mrs. Sword visited Sorsogon last February 21, 2011 during the Culminating Activity of The Lewis College’s 10th Year Anniversary. They were deeply impressed with the efforts of the Lewis Family in providing good education with global emphasis here in Sorsogon City. Mr. Sword also gave a two-hour lecture about his field in Aeronautics to TLC high school students, along with the other guests of Mrs. Lewis from New York who talked about their respective professional fields. The Lewis College is indeed grateful for these men and women who have inspired the students to continue finishing their studies and achieve their goals in life. Mabuhay to the Sword family!
