Welcome to The Lewis College Scholarship Programs.  We desire to help you and your family understand our scholarship programs and assist you how to avail of them.

MILENYO SCHOLARSHIP

After typhoon "Milenyo" devastated Sorsogon last 2006, our founder Mrs. Loida Lewis reached out to the children and families who were hard hit, especially those of The Lewis College.  Among them were students in the college level who had much potential but were financially incapable to finish their bachelor degrees.  Hence, the "Milenyo Scholarship" was born to cater to their educational needs.  In spite of the tragedy, these underprivileged students are now continuing their studies.  Their character is being built not only to become survivors, but excellent overcomers in their chosen fields.

Milenyo Scholars are chosen based on the following criteria:  family income, parents’ occupation, number of siblings, scholastic standing, and degree of destruction wrought by the typhoon.

WORLD VISION SCHOLARS

In partnership with World Vision Philippines, we are looking for 100 applicants who are willing to undergo training and transformation to become world-class entrepreneurs, administrators, teachers, computer wizards and technicians and nursing assistants.

World Vision Philippines makes the choice of scholarship grantees and recommend them to The Lewis College for the Scholarship. Recommendees undergo the standard operation procedure for enrolment in college.

WORKING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Students enrolled in the Bachelor courses can have the chance to study for free while learning important skills and values about work as they serve in different  school offices or help in the cleanliness and maintenance of the campus.

Working students are free from paying tuition and miscellaneous fees.  They are given five (5) subjects to take every semester or an average of 15 units.

"STUDY NOW, PAY LATER" SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship program is granted to students who desire to enroll in the College of Education and finish the Degree Bachelor in Secondary Education Major in English or Math; and Bachelor in Elementary Education following the curriculum in general education. In this scholarship program, recipients are given free tuition fees; however, they pay the miscellaneous fees which can be arranged on easy installment basis.

A scholar of this program should not incur a failing mark or else he is disqualified. After graduation and when he has found an employment, he is bound to pay, upon an agreed term, the expenses incurred during the period of his studies.

NURSING ASSISTANT SCHOLARSHIP

For those who have the heart to care for patients and at the same time are looking for an opportunity to work in hospitals, hospices, or medical institutions here and abroad, this scholarship offer is for them. Applicants will undergo rigid training in patient health care and hands-on nursing skills development.

The Lewis College will shoulder the tuition fee for those who qualify in the scholarship examination and pass the personal interview. However, required modules, uniforms and other incidental expenses are to be shouldered by the student scholar.
