The Lewis College has several scholarship programs for deserving students, including tie-up scholarships with well-known institutions like Jollibee and World Vision.  We want you to achieve your dreams, and so we hope we can help you get a good education as a solid foundation for success.

RFL SCHOLARSHIP

RFL Scholars are chosen based on the following criteria:  scholastic standing, family income, parents’ occupation, number of siblings, and the passion to pursue their dreams, to keep going no matter what.

WORLD VISION SCHOLARS

In partnership with World Vision Philippines, the school offers 50% scholarship for those who are recommended by World Vision to study in The Lewis College.

WORKING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP (STUDENT ASSISTANTS) PROGRAM

Students enrolled in the Bachelor courses can have the chance to study for free while learning important skills and values about work as they serve in different  school offices or help in the cleanliness and maintenance of the campus.

Working students are free from paying tuition fees and are given an average of 15 units per semester for the first year, with additional loads as the student continues with the program.  The Committee on Admission and Scholarships oversee the evaluation and monitoring of qualified student assistants.

NURSING ASSISTANT SCHOLARSHIP

For those who have the heart to care for patients and at the same time are looking for an opportunity to work in hospitals, hospices, or medical institutions here and abroad, this scholarship offer is for them. Applicants will undergo rigid training in patient health care and hands-on nursing skills development, specifically in Health Care Services.

Under Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), The Lewis College offers partial scholarship in tuition fees for those who qualify in the examination and pass other requirements.

JOLLIBEE FOODS CORPORATION (JFC) SEEDS PROGRAM

The JFC SEEDS Program (Skills Enhancement and Education Development for Students) is for youths who would want to achieve their dreams.  JFC SEEDS Program offers qualified students interest-free tuition loan for five years and in-store training at JFC stores.

For inquiries, please contact JFC at (02) 688-7093 or visit DOLE Regional Offices.  You may also visit the local Jollibee or Greenwich stores in Sorsogon City and ask from their manager.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR PRIVATE EDUCATION (FAPE)

FAPE is a government program designed to ease up the overflow of enrolment in most public high schools.

Under this program, the government gives an amount of 8,500 pesos as financial aid to students who are enrolling in the private schools. Most private high schools impose a higher amount of tuition fee than the government aid; and so parents shoulder the payment of any excess amount beyond what the government subsidizes.

To avail of FAPE tuition fee assistance, an enrolling student should present a certificate of tax exemption from the BIR Office. Further, the TLC also accepts first year high school students who are recipients of the Educational Voucher System (EVS). Public school grade six students can apply for grants with their own school principal.

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL VOUCHER PROGRAM (under GASTPE)

The Senior High School Voucher Program is intended for Grade 10 (Junior High School) completers who wish to pursue Senior High School (SHS) education in Private High Schools, such as The Lewis College, starting SY 2016-2017.

Through the Voucher Program, students and their families are able to exercise greater choice in deciding the Senior High School program that is most relevant to their needs and career goals.

The voucher enables students to claim a “discount” or a deduction from the cost of tuition and other fees.  The voucher subsidy is not given to students directly in the form of cash but will be disbursed by DepEd to the private school where he or she enrolls.
