Enrollment Up by 22% for SY 2014

School year 2014 opened with an amazing twenty two percent (22%) increase in the student population compared to last year, with one thousand six hundred ninety-one (1,691) students currently enrolled whereas there were 1,440 enrollees last June 2013.

New students said they were excited to study in TLC due to the scholarship programs for high school and college, the new building being constructed, improvement in facilities and teachers, and the positive ambiance in the school.

Student Affairs and Services Officer, Mr. Christian Jamisola, led the welcome program for SY 2014-2015, along with the principals of Basic Education Department and the Deans in Higher Education Department.  The Faculty and staff were also introduced to the students and parents who came at the first day of classes on June 2, 2014. Indeed, The Lewis College welcomes you!

TLC is 4-time Regional Champion in Computer Programming

TLC 2014 Champs in CompOnce again, TLC-College of Computer Studies is the Regional Champion in Computer Programming. TLC cemented its place as the first school in Region V to win 3 championships in the Ateneo Programming Challenge – Annual Bicol Wide Computer Programming Competition. TLC is now a hall of fame inductee!

TLC clinches Championship in Division Level of National Quiz Bee

Justin Ember MutiaCongratulations to JUSTIN EMBER MUTIA, champion in the 34th National Quiz Bee Competition (Division Level), held at the Function Hall of Department of Education Division Office, Sorsogon City last September 11, 2013.  He is an Elementary Student at The Lewis College.  Justin will be representing the province of Sorsogon in the next level of competitions.  Shown in the picture with him is Coach Joebert Tarraya.  Keep it up!

TLC VP Imelda Nicolas: Leading Diaspora to Development

MANILA, Philippines – As a businesswoman, Nicolas was vice president for Development of TLC Beatrice International Holdings Inc., a New York-based multinational company, as well as chair of the Women’s Business Council of the Philippines. She is also an advocate for women’s rights and good governance.

Indeed, her background has helped her to hit the ground running with a pro-active approach to leading the CFO. “I was a little over a month in office and barely had I warmed my seat as chair of the Commission when CFO already positioned itself at the forefront of the Philippine government’s more strategic engagement with international migration,” she shares on the commission’s achievements so far.
